Had a quirky stay at The Black Swan! Loved the charming decor and fantastic breakfast options while feeling right in the heart of Bruges. The steep stairs were a workout, but the friendly staff made up for it.

There were some drawbacks. The absence of an elevator makes lugging bags up the steep, narrow staircases a pain, especially for those staying on higher floors. There were complaints about thin walls, leading to noise disturbances from guests moving around in the morning. the breakfast options were quite basic, with only a boiled egg as the lone hot offering, leaving many underwhelmed. Some rooms had issues with hot water availability, particularly in the mornings, which is a considerable inconvenience.

I had a pleasant stay with a comfortable room and a fantastic breakfast spread that included fresh pastries and fruits. the steep and narrow staircases were a challenge with my luggage, and I found the room a bit too warm at night. it’s a good choice for a short visit, especially for families.

Charming Family Stay with a Cozy Vibe
Our family of five enjoyed a warm and cozy atmosphere in a charming room beneath the roof. The breakfast spread included fresh pastries, making morning meals delightful. For families, I recommend preparing a light breakfast in advance if you have an early departure.

The absence of clarity on how to obtain assistance late at night could be improved.

great stay overall, but some minor issues
The breakfast was a delightful start to our day, offering a range of fresh pastries and fruits. The room was impeccably clean, providing a pleasant atmosphere for rest after exploring the area. I appreciated the excellent WiFi connection, which allowed us to plan our daily excursions easily. the location was very convenient, just a short walk to the market square, where we enjoyed local artisans and vendors.
The absence of an elevator made accessing our room on the upper floor rather inconvenient.
